Here are few of my favourite things...

As the song goes...
Here are few of my favorite things.
Today I am going to show you a card I made on Sunday night. I adore this new stamp that I just picked up. I know this image has been around for a while but everytime I see it, it makes me smile. (It's a Mo Manning stamp.) It reminds me of my daughter and they just grow too darn quick. It's my daughter's last day of grade one today. GRADE 1 - poof!! Gone just like that?!!!

I would like for someone to explain to me where the time has gone and I would like to know who I can talk to about getting that time back??!! Anyone know??

Well, as I said this image makes me smile so I hope you like the card :

I used the sketch from The Sweetest Thing
Here is a snapshot of the cutey :

And a close-up of the Copic markers I used :
I am also submitting this card for :

Mo's Digital Pencil : Flowers, Flutters, Fairies, Fancy Fold...
(I went with flowers)
Paper Sundaes : purple, wings, gems and/or paper piecing
(I obviously went with the purple and gems)

CMC - coloring folds, pleates and ruffles

Stampin' For the Weekend - Pick your fave thing
(besides it reminding me of my daughter - it would be a tie between Copics and MME patterned paper)

OCC - DT Call - anything but it has to be your style.

Well, I think this card suits my style to a tee.
Cutesy, coloring and bright.

I should run but don't forget to scroll down for my previous post and the new Fab 'n Funky challenge!!
Have a great day.

1 Stamp - 2 Cards

Hello Everyone,
Happy Monday - if there is such a thing...

I am trying to stay positive because it's a short week here in Canada,
 with Friday being Canada's birthday.

Speaking of birthdays - today is my hubby's birthday!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!
I LOVE YA!!
xxxooo
I think we are going out for dinner tonight? He hasn't decided yet??!!

But enough about that,
today I am going to show you 2 cards that I made using one stamp. This stamp is one from Kraftin' Kimmie. Both of the images and the sentiments all are from the same stamp.

Card #1

I colored miss Goldilocks with copics and used MME paper.
I also used the sketch from Sketchbook Saturday

and was inspired by the Moxie Fab challenge - beautiful borders.
The 3 rolled flowers are actually the decorative edges of a piece of MME 12 x 12 patterned paper. I just rolled them up - inked the top edge and adhered them to the card base with big glue dots.

Here you can see a bit more of the dimension :

(I thought that was pretty clever & creative??!!)

Card #2

I used the Annabelle sketch for this one.

I was originally going to put Goldilocks on this card but I thought the paper was so pretty on it's own, I thought I would leave it. And then I found the felt ribbon that matched and knew that this card would stand out enough on it's own.

Okay, well I should run so I can be ready for when the birthday boy arrives home.
Have a good night.

LOTV - Sketch time!!

Hi Again,

I am back again today to show you another card I put together this morning. I LOVE my LOTV stamps and I loved the current sketch over on their blog so I thought I would join in. I created this birthday card :

This card will not be staying in my stash for long. I have a birthday BBQ tomorrow and I think this card will be joining me. {...grin...}
Here is the LOTV sketch :
This girl is just too cute. Here is a little close-up of the coloring and you can see I even used some Stickles to glitter up the star headband and her little skirt.

Okay well, I'm off. I am hoping to carve out some more time for crafting this evening. And if I do - you will be the first to know!!

Thanks for coming and checking it out.
Have a good day.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday to ya!!
Today is a bit of a busy day for us at the Easton residence.
I woke up early this morning and created this little beauty.

I love the way this turned out. I have a large stash of rhinestones. It was a bit of a stretch for me to use so many on one card because I seem to hoard them - but I love the effect it created. It was a clean and simple - coloring free card. (Which is RARE for me!)

I am submitting this card for the following challenges :

Well, I hope this little rainbow will wash away the rain - and Spring and we can finally welcome Summer!! {Fingers Crossed}

I'm off to get my day started. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Until next time...

It has been a long haul and finally we are seein a break in the weather. I am going to make this post short and sweet becasue my family is heading out todya to enjoy some of this beautiful day!!

I created this card using my new My Mind's Eye paper pad and an adorable teddy bear from Whipper Snapper.
