Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We are having a great lazy Sunday morning. Later today we plan on carving pumpkin and getting ready for a frightening evening. My dog hates halloween becasue all of the people knocking on the door and it's a rare day when my daughter actually leaves the house on halloween night. She's just too scared most of the time. (And she's 6 now!!) So let's hope she wil actually go trick-or-treating this year??!! Only time will tell...

Well, today I don't have any halloween projects to share but I do have two cards for you.
The first card is for the
I used patterned paper that's full of round circles and I rounded the corners :

And for card #2 :
I used this week's Moxie Tuesday Trigger - sweater weather
and the sketch at : Stampin' Royalty

I love the aqua sheer ribbon, too cute!!

Okay, well, I going to run and enjoy my tea and puruse through all of my favourite blogs.
Ahhh - gotta luv Sundays!!

Patti the Peacock Gets Feathered

Good Morning Ladies (and Gentlemen)
This morning I have a fun & bright card to share with you.
I came across a wonderful post about "feathering" using your copic markers and I wanted to challenge myself to try it. I thought this peacock image would be great!!
This card also qualifies for :
Paper Romance - scrunched ribbon
Papertake - sparkly and bright (the green squares are shimmer paper and note the shiny rhinestones)

Here the card I came up with :
This card is for the Copic Oz - "feathering" challenge.
I feathered YG13 and Y13 on Patti's feathers.

Here's a closeup :
I also did her body with YG13 AND B14

And here is a shot showing all of the colors I used :

I will be back later, with a few more cards. Have a good day!!

Two Totally Different

Hello All,

I am home today battling yet another horrific cold. Yuck! That's 2 in 3 weeks. I am getting very tired of being sick - and my husband is too!! He's used to me being full of life and energy. And when I'm sick, I am like a sloth. I did manage to muster up enough energy to create a couple of cards this morning.

This doesn't happen to me very often but I sat down and created 2 very diferent cards.

The first I made using the sketch over at The Skipping Stone Designs :
Isn't he darling. He's new to my Whippersnapper collection - and I just love him.
Here's a close up :

I colored him with Copic markers - my fave.

And for the second card, I used the sketch from the Sweetest Thing and the colors are from Just Add Ink.
I thought the soft colors would work well for a baby card :
Love the little decorated button :

Hope you like...
I have to go and rest now. Just sitting here posting this has drained all of my energy.
Take care.
See you soon!!

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

This card is for all of the people out there who aren't having the best day or are going through a rough time. I made this card for a friend who is going through a rough patch. But it's always good to remember that you will get through it and you're not alone!!
And as it is - it qualifies for the current Caardvarks challenge - decorated on the inside out!!

So this is for all of you who are having a bad day, week, month ect. It's my way of sending a big hug and showing my support!!

Have a good day!!

Hey Everyone,

With a few more cards for you.
I will keep this short and sweet. I just wanted to post these couple of cards that I create for various challenges.

The first is for :
The Sweetest Thing sketch challenge and for the OCC challenge to use lots of embellishments. I went for 3 big buttons and pom-pom ribbon and a die cut tag.

And the next is for the sketch at :
the Sweet Stop (with a twist - lots of sparkle!!)
I added tiny sparkly stars (my favourite)
And colored this little cutie with Copics.

For My Neighbor

Do you live in a big city, where no one knows your name or recognizes your face?
Where you pass your neighbor on the street and don't even know it?

Well, not me!!
Although I live in a metro area, with all of the conviences you could imagine, my little neighborhood is wonderful. My daughter's school is right across the street. She has some fabulous friends that live in our complex. And I am lukcy enough to have some of the best neighbors in the world.

I made this card today for my neighbor who is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. I commute quite a ways to work and sometimes I am not able to make it to my daughters school right on time so I have had to call my neighbor a few times and ask if she'll grab Baelee for me. She always says "yes" and "it's no problem". I wanted to just give her a little package to show that her kindness doesn't go unnoticed.

I used the Card Pattern sketch. I love these warm colors. I love all fall colors, really. And a favourite of mine - Whippersnapper stamp!! The inside reads : There's no better neighbor than a neighbor like you!!
 Hope you like!!

Clean and Simple Meets JUGS!!

Hello Everyone,

How was your weekend? Hopefully it was good. Mine is just wrapping up - and it was a great weekend. Did a little shopping, a little family time, watched a great movie last night, had tome to craft...
What more could a girl ask for?

Tonight I have a card to show you that is a bit out of the norm for me. But I really enjoy how it turned out. It's definitly more simple than I usually go for, but my mom's words kept wringing in my head. K-I-S-S. And so here it is :

It was made using the sketch from Clean and Simple and the color inspiration came from the current challenge over at JUGS. (cream, kraft and black)
Don't cha just love the feather - I do. And unexpected twist. :)

Well, have a good evening and I'll be back soon to share some more cards from this mornings crafting session.

CPS & Color Q - Halloween

Happy Sunday Everyone,
And a happy Sunday it is!!
I finally had some time to just play with my paper and stamps!!
It's been a while and man - way overdue!!
I feel like I could sit there all day and create!!

But it's Sunday and that means laundry, cleaning and groceries, and on top of that I have a class to teach this afternoon. But it's a beautiful fall day and I'm looking forward to it!! My husband is going to cook and roast dinner while I'm at class (a rarity that he is cooking) and I get to come home to a home cooked meal. Yum! Yum!

But for today I have a halloween card. My niece loves Halloween so I think I will send it to her. She'll get a kick out of it.

I used the sketch at CPS and the colors from Color Q. It also qualifies for the Papertake challenge this week - 3 For All!! I included 3 bats, 3 sentiments, the pieces of patterned paper and 3 purple rhinestone. Hope you like.

And I LOVE these sparkly bats. I used a die cut from the LCS and paired it with the sparkly paper from American crafts. I die cut 30 of them and will also use them in a project for my daughters classes halloween treats. Stay tuned for that project!!

Well, have a fabulous Sunday. Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather if you live on the West Coast of Canada!! It's gorgeous!!
