The Madhatter's Party

Good Morning Everyone,

What a day, yesterday!! We had our daughter's 6th birthday party. It was an Alice in Wonderland inspired Mad Hatter's Tea Party!! We had a great time. The weather was fabulous. Tonnes of kids and oodles of fun. Here are some photos I just had to share.

This was the table setting before the kiddies arrived. We were originally going to sit down for tea, but with 23 kids - I thought that might be a little difficult - so they stool around the table while we all chose ingredients to make a special birthday tea.

Here's a shot of the fabulous, wacky, topsy turvy cake. And the nice thing about it - it actually tasted REALLY good!! The kids loved it!! (and I did too!!) Thanks mom!!

And a picture of the birthday girl, in her Alice costume - looking so cute. She is posing with my sister Natasha. Aren't they darling!!

Well, we had a great time!! I feel like a have a kid's party hangover this morning!! It was alot of work but I know Baelee had a blast and I'm sure she is happy that we all worked so hard to throw off a great party!!

A little something different

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
you know what that means...
we're over half way to the weekend!!
woohoo!!
I have been putting in lots of hours at work and adjusting to being back at work full time. UGG!!! I haven't worked full time in 6 yrs, so it's a hard adjustment. I;m hoping it will get better with time...
Until then I will continue creating cards, when I have a spare sec. It's something I love and I'm not about to give it up!!

Anyways, tonight I have chosen to do something a little different. I'm going to show you 3 cards. All with the same stamped image. All different patterned paper and designs. I just love this adorable new stamp from Stampin' Bella, so I wanted to showcase how versatile it is!!

Card #1
Was created for the weekly challenge over at Stampin Bella. (flowers) and the Pink Elephant challenge

Isn't she cute!! Most people wouldn't think to put red and pink together but what can I say...I'm a rule breaker!!
This card is going to my mom. I do love her very much and she is a very special person in my life. I am looking forward to spoiling her with some extra love this weekend.

Card #2
Was created for the Caardvarks sketch challenge.

and last but not least...
Card #3
is for the 2S4Y challenge.
I cased a beautiful card by one of the design team members (Heather).
You can see it here
I follow Heather's blog and all of her cards are wonderful!!
Check them out!!

sooo...
which one do you like best??
Leave me a comment,
I would love to hear what you think!!

have a good day!!

A very merry UN-birthday!!

I know I haven't posted in quite some time but I have been EXTREMELY busy!! It's been crazy!! Although it may appear I haven't been very crafty lately, I actually have been very busy. My daughter's 6th birthday is coming up and she is having a mad hatter's tea party. I just finally finished the invites last night. She goes to preschool and kindergarten so I had to make 40 cards for all those kids!!! And then I took the easy way out for family invites and just sent out an E-VITE. If you have never used e-vite, I would highly recommend it!! The site is fabulous and you can customize everything about your e-vite. Check it out.

But here are some photos of my little girl's Un-Birthday Invites :

Too cute, right!!
I found this adorable Alice in Wonderland paper at Precious Memories. The paper is from Reminisce and they have also put out a Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood line.

I cut out the little hats using my cricut and the paper dolls cartridge. I then made tiny little cards and wrapped the hats with ribbon. Cute, no??!!

Anyways, I will be working on getting things together for her party over the next few weeks. I like to go all out for her birthdays, so...
It's always time consuming.

I have submitted my June card classes for Precious Memories. I'll show you a sneak peak tomorrow. Stay tuned!!
