Never Enough Hours in a Day

Does anyone else ever feel this way? I feel like I am busy all day long and I never have enough time!! This week has been no different. We are crazy busy at work. My husband was sick last week so we are still playing catch-up from that. Between prepping for classes, running my daughter from school to her activities, work, maintaining a household, taking care of the dog...  the list is never ending!! Shheeeshh. I'm tire-ing myself out just thinking about it!! I better stop blabbing and get on with some new cards to show.

Card # 1
For the current sketch at Card Patterns, the Pink Elephant - pastel challenge, and the Cards easter challenge

Love this bunny. It's a stamp from Whippersnapper and I colored it with Copics.

Card # 2
For the current sketch at OCC
This owl is from Cornish Heritage Farms and again I colored it with Copics

Card # 3
I used the sketch from the Sweet Stop :

I'm just realizing now that I forgot to adhear the sentiment!! Oopps!! I'll go do that!! It's supposed to be in the lower right hand corner of the image. (just image that it's there!!)

Card # 4
For the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch :

I have about 30 of these little monsters already colored (I intented to make invitations with them, but never got around to it - I know - I'm bad!!) So I thought I would pull one out and make a boy card. I think it turned out cute!!

Card # 5
I used the Clean and Simple sketch and the Saturday Spotlight challenge : coffee - as our inspiration

This card uses that paper I was talking about the other day. DCWV - Linen Closet. Love it!! And when I photgraphed it, that patterned paper really looks like linen!! Did I mention - I love this new line of paper??!! LOL!! I kept the colors all warm and creamy, which is what I think about when I think about coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker myself - I'm a tea girl - but I think this card look great being fairly neutral and brown.

Okay, well gotta run!! Check off a few more things before it's Kindergarten time!!

Have a good day!!

2S4Y, Papertake and Color Q

Happy Thursday Everyone,

It's rainy and dark here today so I sat at the table this morning and created a few cards.

The first is for the sketch challenge over at 2S4Y
my favourite stamps : whippersnapper

I just love these little creatures. (and the new spring line just came out!! I am definitly going to have toorder a few!!)

I used the new DCWV - Linen Closet paper. I love this paper. It's soft and warm but not too feminen. I think I'll be using this alot. I picked up a pad of it cause I loved all the different patterned paper. I don't usually use paper packs but I had to have this one. The next card uses the same paper line.

This card was created using the sketch from Papertake Weekly challenge

and this last card was created using the colors from the ColorQ challenge :

I had forgotten I had this little stamp until I saw another person post a card using it the other day. I pulled it out and colored it with copics. Isn't he so happy??!!

Well, gotta run. I have to take my daughter to Kindergarten. We're walking over and it's super rainy so we'll have to get out our boots and umbrellas. See ya later!!

Who Loves A Fat Cat? I Do!!

Hello, hello!!
So I was busy coloring away the other night and I was working on some images from - who else - Penny Black. I love these lttle guys. I purchased a whole acrylic set and haven't really had much time to make any cards with them. I wanted to use some striped paper I got - on clearance - the other day. Here's what I came up with. They are all similar but I use different sketches to put them together.

(side note - I'm thoroughly happy that I made atleast 5 of each of these cards so now I have some for my stash.)

Card # 1
I used the current sketch challenge at Card Patterns (its a good one!!)

Card # 2
It's using the sketch from The Sweetest Thing

and a closeup of the coloring :

Card # 3
for the sketch at CPS

another close-up:

HAPPY FAT CAT!!

Card # 4
I used the sketch from I{heart}to Stamp -  A Sketch for You To Try

yet another close-up

and

 Card #5
I just made these with the scraps on my table.
For the fun of it!!

I told you they were all similar but each a little different. I love these little cats!! I have colored more so I'm sure you'll see more in the future!! And I also picked up a few Whippersnapper Stamps and can't wait to use those, either!! Maybe I'll start right now!! Gotta run...

Hope you enjoyed!!

The Sweet Stop Goes Fuzzy

This week the challenge over at The Sweet Stop was to use their current sketch

- but the twist was you had to make it fuzzy, wuzzy -
I had a few ideas but I decided to go with this :

Sorry, the photo is horrible - but it was the best of the lot!! I had to adjust the colors because it was so dark but then the creme color would go so bright!! I-yie-yie!!

here is the closeup of the fuzzy and wuzzy
velvet ribbon and a felt flower

I will have a spring card to post but I keep forgetting to take a picture of it!!
Maybe I'll go and do that!!

Have a good day

Another one for Ya!!

I was running out the door this morning and just did a quick
 - one card post -
but I do have a few more for ya!!

Here is a card I made using the sketch at OCC

and my inspiration was from the ETSY challenge

I love these large grommets - I have a whole case of them - just sitting there collecting dust so I thought I would pull out my hammer and grommet tool and go to town!!

And this little card was create for the sketch over at Clean and Simple

I also followed this guidelines over at Saturday Spotlight
to create a birthday card using your birthstone. I'm a May baby so my birthstone is Emerald. And what do you know - I just happened to have emerald rhinestones in my stash!!

One more for ya...
This card was made with the Just Add Ink sketch

(I tipped it on the side and altered the dimensions - ever so slightly)
and I used the colors from the Play Date Cafe challenge

Okay, well have a good night and see you - hopefully - tomorrow!!

Stampin' Royalty and JUGS All Rolled Into One

Just a quick post this morning - I'm supposed to be running out the door for work!!
It's a card I created for the sketch at Stampin' Royalty:

And the colors are from the current challenge at JUGS :

I have actually already given this card away. I made it on Saturday morning with the intentions of giving it to my husband's cousin. We had a family dinner on Saturday to say goodbye to him. He's moving away for work so I wanted to give him and his girlfriend a little something,  and this is what I came up with :

and a quick shot of the copics I used to color the suitcase :

Have a good day - gotta run!!

Happy Sunday - to you!!

Good Morning Everyone!!
Don't cha just love Sundays??

Oh- I do!! They are my favorite day of the week. I get up early. I make my cup of tea - yummy - and sit and read over everyone's blogs. Man - you guys are inspiring!! I had a great craftin' session yesterday morning but then the weather turned REALLY nice so I had to get my daughter outside and didn't have time to post!! But I will be showing my creations over the next few days. Onto today's cards :

CARD #1
This little card was made using the color challenge over at : Color Dare

Super quick and easy but I liked the paper when I saw it and this card came together rather quickly.
A couple of layers and some trimming and that's, that!!

CARD #2
This card was created using the colors from the challenge :

Another fairly simple one but you know me - I love Penny Black so I had to use this adorable sticker. You will definitly see me use this patterned paper more. I bought a wack load of it in the "clearance" section of the local craft store and I think it's perfect for male cards. (The other side has really fun stripes!!)

And last but not least
CARD #3
this card was created for the current challenge over at the CARDS blog
The challenge was to use atleast 8 different colors on a card. Here's what I came up with!!

There's just something about buttons that I love. Even my daughter had a button collection. But I just can't seem to get enough of buttons. I like to have a variety of colors and shapes and sizes. I bought a tub of buttons - a while back - and they had a few teddy bear shaped buttons. I can't bring myself to use them cause they are just too darn cute!! (I'm a hoarder - what can I say)

Well, that's it for me today!!
Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!! Enjoy!!

Tempting Tuesday Trio

Good Morning,

I had grand plans of continuing on my roll last week, but the weekend came - we went away and so my posting was non-existent. I did take a few projects away with me to work on, so I wasn't totally craft free, but I mostly worked on upcoming classes so I don't have anything to show from that. I do, however, have a few cards to show you from last night. I was busy creating and I will have more to post later... but here is what's on the menu this morning :

Card # 1
This is a simple card I created for the sketch over at Simple & Clean -

Card # 2 :
I know, this next card is a strange color combo and a bit of a different layout but I really like how it turned out. My mom has just bought a new trailer and site to put in on and is very excited - so I'm going to pop this little card in the mail for her. It fits into a few challenges :
1. Saturday Spotlight : slick -
the clouds and all the tiny windows are slick. I used diamond glaze on them to create this "wet" effect.
2. The layout is from CPS
3. The color combo is from Color Q

Card # 3 :
This card was made using the sketch from : EBTKS
and the color combo was taken from : Curtain Call Challenge over at Stacey's Stamping Stage

This was the first time I've actually used my "fence" border punch from Martha Stewart and I think it looks really cute!! What about you?

Okay, well, I off to check out everyone else's blog (which I LOVE to do) and I'll be back later to post some more!!

Ta ta for now!!

Just a Quick One

Hello, crafting friends!!
Happy Thursday.

I have a quick card to post today. It's super busy today around our house so I'll make this post short and sweet and to the point!!

**editted**
I wanted to mention that I also made the top 4 at the Play Date Cafe!!
Yippee!! and thanks!!!

Here is a card a whipped up for a few challenges.
My jumping off point was the Mojo Monday sketch
and I used an adorable image from Stampin' Bella for the "Anything Goes" challenge
and it can be used for the current challenge at The Pink Elephant : invitations
I heat embossed the orange paper - it's kinda shiny in the picture (sorry!!) but the ice cream images is REALLY cute in real life!!

Okay well, gotta run!! Hopefully I'll be back later to post some more but that's all for now!!
